Deviantart stuff

I don't know if you had a clue but I'm an ancient, skilled drawer and i sometimes make paintings with my phone. Many of those paintings are usually uploaded to Deviantart so that people and friends are able to see what I've done. I also make a lot of sketching and so i have the experience to draw some semi-professional paintings.

Lately I've been modeling in the 3D environment called Blender, which is a CAD software with physic engine , algorithm calculator, Python programming language etc. I've used those experiences to make DOTA2 mods for the Workshop. And there are really many reasons to be learning CAD or Blender. Since the dawn of the 3D printer era is on its way, it's best to be prepared.

To the point now. I've recently been making concept art for my 3D objects before making it in 3D to be able to share with friends and learn how they best like it and how it will turn out with most success. So right now you'll find some sketches, paintings and concepts in my Deviant Art gallery. You can find it in the link below:

Mini Sumo Robot FIght

At the Saturday last week i had a robot tournament hat i was going to participate in. As usual i came there a little unprepared cause my laptop that i was going to make he final adjustments with was refreshed and without any files. So i started to download the programs needed but it ended up in more installing and software problems. So what i did was to just finish up my code on the program, and then without debugging i transferred the file into my USB stick. In that way i was able to upload the program on a mates laptop and then just implement the code trough the laptop instead.

That worked out perfectly and my robot was ready to battle. The one and only problem then was the fact that my distance sensor, the sensor looking for targets, wasn't working because of some connection errors that somehow made the sensor to sense what the line sensor saw. So instead of looking forward it looked down where the line sensor looks, even if the physical sensor part was pointing straight forward. :O

Well, i just made a fail-safe program quickly and got on with the battles. Here are most of the battles from the championship:

Samsung Galaxy S3 most popular phone!

Samsung Galaxy S3 is now the worlds most popular phone. This information comes from the following page: Samsung Galaxy S III is the world most popular smartphone in Q3
I have always known that the S3 would break the iPhone. That's due to the fact that apple makes smart moves and holds the interface dummy friendly and simple, just as the majority of the customers want it to be. I however have never had anything apple related. However, I have the knowledge and interest to learn why apple is good or bad and why people buy iPhone's instead of androids or the windows phone versions.
The answer was simple: Apple made it easy, early and made a good UI and design. But nothing of this had with quality to do with so I started comparing the insides of the phones by making researchs on the phone specifications.
Apple has very modern specs with the maximum of hardware. That means that any other devices even had a hard time competing with hardware. However, Google android announced some incredible phones that could match the iPhone's and even defeat them in hardware. My now gone HTC Desire was such a phone, HTC's flagship. It was released a half year after the iPhone 3GS but even then it was more than twice as strong with its futuristic and superior Snapzdragon single core. Even if just that phone got lots of attention it wasn't sold in comparable amounts to the 3GS.
The most annoying part is that iPhone released the iPhone 4 half a year after the HTC Desire.  It had about the same specs and was both better and worse than the desire in many aspects. But people just wanted the design so they bought an outdated phone :(
Now, the Galaxy S3 has greatly beaten the 4S with about 6x times the processing power and with its HD 720p display and tons of features that even the IPhone 5 can't match. The S3 was released half a year from the IPhone 4S and just like the cycle of iPhone,  iPhone 5 came a half year after Galaxy S3.
iPhone 5 still has no chance to compete the specs with the S3 since it's greatly outmatched by the Galaxy device. A slower dual-core vs a stronger Quadra core.
Fast spec comparison:
Iphone 5:
CPU: dual-core 1, 2 (1, 3)GHz A9
GPU: 3mali 535
Memory: 16 - 64GB in, RAM-1GB
Display: 4, 1" qHD (1020x650)(340ppi)
Battery life: 1450 mAh (8h full use)
Galaxy S3:
CPU: Quad-core 1, 4GHz A15 (Exyno 5300)
GPU: mali 400
Memory: 16 - 64GB in, 4 - 64GB ex, RAM-1GB
Display: 4, 8" HD (1280x720p)(299ppi)
Battery life: 2100 mAh (11h full use)
(New) HTC DROID HD:
CPU: Quad-core 1, 5 GHz (Qalcom Snapzdragon x4)
GPU: *(TBA)*
Memory: 16-64GB in, 4-64 ex, RAM-2GB

Android Gaming Tablet

If you're like old me and love to play video games then this is great news for you! Android is releasing a new gaming tablet with built on joysticks and buttons for just that task.
News tells us that the table who is named WikiPad was supposed to be released this week, however it turns out gamesrop (who is the seller) have encountered some difficulties that will delay it.
The WikiPad's specs are not mush revealed but it has a quad-core tegra 3 processor wish means that it will have a clock speed of about 1, 5 GHz and 1 GB of RAM memory.  Not the fastest and latest of hardware but it's modern and made specifically for gaming.
The display is also 10"with a resolution of what I would gates is a 1280x720 HD display. of

Game of Thrones & Stargate Atlantis

I just found out that a favorite music with an unknown source comes from something called Game of Thrones. That makes me want to read the book.
I also watched the whole season 1 of the amazing Stargate Atlantis. And I really recommend it for you since it's sci-fi in both a horror and awesome way. To see how the humans progresses when finding the Atlantis city in the galaxy called Pegasus.

Dota2 Workshop Team!

I started a steam group with the intention to make a Dota 2 Workshop community. Since I wanted to be able to get help from others as well as helping people in a broader way, I made this group. Now it has turned to a real success since about 1 guy joins the group every day. Right now we have grown up to an amount of 47 people. And most of them participate in what the group is all about; to make guides, help newcomers as well as getting feedback from other modifiers and modelers.

I've improved a lot in the art of modifications. And I've helped more people than I'd ever be able to handle alone. :)

I also made a YouTube channel to make clips and tutorials on how to mod Dota2. The channel is expansive since I got 18 subscribers in 4 days! :D

The YouTube channel can be found here: www.YouTube.com/users/Dota2workshop/
The steam group can be found here: www.steamcommunity.com/groups/d2wt/

If you are interested in participating, feel free to look around in the group as well as joining the groupchatt or making a discussion thread. :)

Cheers!

Blender vs Java

<p>I am currently having a serious battle in mind. Should my free time after school be used to learn Blender or Java? I am currently doing both since Java is dominating while blender is useful and fun.</p>
<p>If you don't know what I'm talking about then you perhaps may look up my other posts. But these two computer programs are used in different ways but cover about the same topics.</p>
<p>On one side we have Blender, including all the other 3D tools; Maya, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Mudbox, SonyVegas, Unity 3D, Render.</p>
<p>On the opposite side we have the Java coding language, including the ability to make 2D, 3D money generating games for PC, Mac, Android, Linux, Windows Phone. It's also a lightweight program as well as logical and object oriented wish will be paving the way into C# as well as OS programming, interface programming, service programming and even software programming.</p>
<p>These two activities is what I'm in to at the time. And I hope to get trough the java path even if it's the toughest one. Blender is a hobby while java is an activity for now.</p>

Keyboard Madness!!!

Me and dad bicycled into the center of Stockholm where i live to buy me a new keyboard for my computer.
Since i over used my old keyboard so that the space button got stuck, and through the fact that I've had my old one in over 2 years, we decided to buy a new one. This time i got to choose, and guess what keyboard i found?

The Cyborg v7 Keyboard!!!!!!!

Some migh find this as overkill, but it's one year old technology and that makes it cheaper. From 2000SKR (about 200€) it now costs 800SKR (about 80€) And i bought it for 700SKR (about 70€). So it was a good prise for such a keyboard ;)

My older keyboard was the Saitek version of a Cyborg v5 keyboard. So i got the upgraded one of my older one =)

My keyboard weight's much but that's really the only thing you could see as a bad thing, and since it's supposed to stay in my room trough its service time there's no need to have it lightweight (and we even got a Bluetooth + mouse keyboard for transportation).

We'll that's all for today. Se ya next time :)

I'm back with a showcast on my Warhamemr 40k themed Minecraft texture pack called Tau Craft. I started making it long ago but I was updating it constantly until recently when i thought it was a waste of time.

In some ways it's a waste of time but its still something cool that I've been doing and it has been an adventure making it. =)

Here is all the trailers with the latest one on the top and the older ones below. You can see the differences and what i updated during that time =) Enjoy!

News 2 - W40k stop motion

Hello there!

I'm now gonna show you a Warhammer 40k stop motion that i made 5 years ago. I recently found the photos and used sony vegas + some Dawn of War 2 sounds to make the miniatures to talk. Enjoy =)

News 1 - Blender, iPhone 5

Hello, I'm just making some updates here today. I've been discussing some thigns with friends aswell as making youtube clips. The youtube clips are about
1. A blender animation
Since i first saw the lord inquitsitor trailer i have been in love with 3D modeling/ sculpting and animating. There is nothing that can match it in awesomeness.

I made a Rhino from Warhammer 40k in blender as a beginning. Here is both the result aswell as some backstory with the behind the scenes part. Check it out below!

I have also been talking with friends about the iPhone 5. Is it really as good as people think or is it even worse that the worst of thoughts about it? Well i'm an android guy and i have friends who are iPhone dudes so discussions are we commonly known for doing.

I'll just take up some of the most vital or important parts about this duel iPhone 5 vs new Android phones:
iPhone 5 was said to be the worlds thinnest phone with a thickness of 7.6 mm, the Oppo Finder however beats the iPhone and makes apple to a liar with their 6.65 mm thick phone. The oppo finder's camera makes up a little bar that makes the phone a little bit bigger. The oppo finders biggest thickness is 7.1 mm and still beats the iPhone 5. Huawei also made a phone with slimmer body. To read more sheck out the tech radar news here

I hope ou enjoyed reading. Stay tuned for upcomming news! =)

Programmer Story

I don't know if you've noticed that there's a "Programming" button in the pages bar. And that I've written programming as an interest in my profile information. We'll everything has it's own explanation.

If you really just wanna know then feel free to click the button. What will happen is that you will be directed to one of my other blogs with the programming theme. So if you are interested in learning to program, then that's somewhere you'd be by now =)

Back to the subject!

Right, let me start of by introducing myself...
I am Taumich, a dude with meany interests, a broad and necessary friend network, someone with meany interests, someone that loves technology, the human brain, imaginations, science, facts, books, languages, history, evolution but most of all, something that everything fits into... complex and cool Stuff (things that not meany are capable of doing) =)

So how did i start programming?

If you really wanna know then i suggest you to look at the "Programming" blog instead.

Shortened:
My dad is a programmer at the Swedish mobile network company; Ericsson. I played lot's of creative video games until a friend introduced me to the programming world by showing me the "Game Maker / Block Builder" program called Scratch.
After some years of "Scratching" i finally reached the limits of what the game maker can handle... I wanted to be able to either earn money somehow from what i did, make the games on portable devices such as phones, make 3D games (scratch can't handle 3D), make not only games but other programs too, and so on...

Now you know my programming story, and some info about me. If you want to learn to program then i recommend you to hit the Programming button on the top, or if your too tired to do that then i have the link here.

Hope you enjoyed reading this =) and feel free to comment!

My love for Warhammer 40000

I'm sorry that i haven't updated the blog in some time, but now it's Friday and i have time to tell ya more about my experiences and coming info on what I'm going to write about :)

Okey, lets get started...

What's on the top of my Love list?

If you're not familiar with Warhammer 40k then i recommend you to keep on reading because i will go trough a very (and i mean very cause of the huge amount of info) basic guide on what Warhammer 40k is, why i love it so mush and what makes it worthy of being noted by people.

And please bare in mind that this is not 100% accurate, it's based on other peoples talk and facts from sites and sources that i will be linking to as mush as i can.

Origin

Warhammer 40000 was created and designed by a (at that time) small company called Games Workshop.

The guys that created it was: Rick Priestley, Andy Chambers, Jervis Johnson and Gavin Thorpe. The year they made it was as early as 1987 (counting form 2012 it's 25 years ago).

Warhammer 40k was made as a future themed version of the Warhammer Fantasy Miniature War-game and both of these was made at the same time by Games Workshop so there is no copying issues over here :)

Warhammer 40000 can also be called:
Warhammer 40k, W40k or just 40k in some cases.

What is Warhammer 40k then?

Imagine this being a set of 5 Units, it's just straight out of the box. (above)
Warhammer 40000 is a Miniature War Game(or Mini-war-game as some call it) and so it's a Turn-Based Strategy game, that means that each player must wait for its turn while the other one is controlling and commanding his own army.

This is how it perhaps will look like when it's done =)
And since it's not a virtual game for computers or consoles it's a physical miniature-board-game styled game, wish means that everything is represented as a miniature on the map. And there is tons of different models, just check out the Games workshop site here and see for yourself how meany options on Armies, Units, Unit types, Armaments, Structures, Painting Colors, Glues, Maps, Templates, Pointers, Rulers etc.

And YES, you actually build each model from basic parts into a perhaps realistic figure ready to be tossed in to any combat you wishes!

For some it's nearly impossible to make the units at least good looking but in truth everyone can paint a good looking army. There is tons of books that learns you how to paint models with different methods. Joust to mention some, if you want a war thorn vehicle look on some metal then it's just to dry-brush, if you want to have a slick plastic kind of look then you'd rather use more water or a shade type of color.

Basic GW guides can be found here while other guides can be found in Google, Youtube, Games Workshop stores etc. The Warhammer 40k community is HUGE so you could just ask any question in almost any forum about Warhammer 40k and their'd certainly be a response.

From unknown sources i got the information that there is over 600,000 active Warhamemr 40k Buyers, i don't know what it's required to be a "W40k Buyer" but it sounds pretty mush. Games Workshop gains a huge amount of money from that but in the same time the model production is both risky, expensive and time consuming. A close friend told me that it takes about 2 weeks for a plastic set to be done counting from the time the raw plastic is being used. The plastic is also of a super fine quality, made for being modeled, shaped and then painted on.

Here is all the aliens, humans empires that you can build your army based on. Eash army has their own Codex aside from the gigantic Warhammer 40k Rulebook.

Current Armies in Warhammer 40k

There is really so mush to say! I'll take the rest some other day. I hope you enjoyed reading. Thank you for taking your time =)

First Interest Post:

My Leading Interest:

I have tons of interests that i will be showing here but let's begin with one of my favorite ones...

Defense Of The Ancients 2

This is a MOBA styled RTS (Real Time Strattegy) Game for PC.
It is developed by VALVE software, the leading game developing company today, and the owners of Steam  (a service for games and gamers to unite)

DOTA2 is as well as League of Legends(LoL) and Heroes of Newearth(HoN) a game based of the old Wc3 (Warcraft III) modification called DotA (Defence of the Ancients) and developed by IceFrog.

Since IceFrog was the real creators didn't  DOTA2 (as well as LoL and HoN) ripoff the mod and make their own game out of it?

Well...the answer is no because employees from IceFrog was hired in by the other games' companies (VALVE software, Riot Games and S2 Games) to help them out making their own versions of the Classic DotA mod.

The reason i like DOTA2 more is that since VALVE is the leading game development  company, their game must have an amazing quality. And it has! All these MOBA games are Free to play but valve is the only one not limiting players without money or time to get all the available content. VALVE have also the most detailed graphics of all these games, and with that i mean that they have putted down tons of more time on multiple animations, polygon amounts, texture art/details, sounds and voice acting.
And the gameplay system is a lot harder than LoL, and more similar to the HoN gameplay.
But maybe my favorite part is that the Main Menu is super dynamic! You can choose to spectate a game, while spectating you can open the Main Menu overlay and search matches, read news, chatt with friends e.t.c. + DOTA2 is a Steam game!

A steam game uses your steam account as game account, steam also grants you access to the steam overlay! This overlay can be used to do really anything, from searching the web, to changing your displayed name, to take screenshots, to chat with friends that are playing other games. And all these features are just a button press away.

The DOTA2 Gameplay:

I think i have written enugh for today. Let's take a break from this DOTA2 post.
When the next part is done the link to it will be shown here: ___________________

I hope you enjoyed reading these facts, thank you for taking you time. Don't forget to comment! =)

First Post!

Hello

Hello, my name is Michael but you can call me Taumich. I am a dude with lots of interests that just started a blog for really no reason. Well... I just looked around in Google's services and found the Blogger part.
I am really an anti-blogger kind of person cause people i know have pointed out that blog's are just for no-lifers/wannabees/famous people e.t.c. but now after some searching in google i saw a totally different truth. This was what changed my mind:

Thank you for taking your time reading my first blog post EVER! I hope you enjoyed it as long as it lasted =)

Cya =)
